Sarah Schlafly – CEO & Co-Founder

Sarah Schlafly is a “cereal” entrepreneur – cricket cereal, that is. Her inspiration for Mighty Cricket was born out of problem that bugged her – the environmentally harmful effects of industrialized meat. Before founding Mighty Cricket, Sarah was a chef, culinary arts instructor and digital marketer for a national food brand. As CEO of Mighty Cricket, Sarah leads the edible insects revolution from her hometown of St. Louis, MO.  

Adam Kronk – Co-Founder

While Adam is away from Mighty Cricket, he professionally serves as a New Ventures Associate in the Office of Research and Development – Technology Transfer at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.  In this role, he aims to accelerate the launch of new university based startup companies and enhance strategic partnerships or joint ventures based on university intellectual property.  Adam holds a BS in Biomedical Sciences from Western Michigan University, an MS in Cellular, Molecular and Developmental Biology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and an MBA from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St Louis.  During his professional career in the life sciences, Adam has been directly involved with product platform development (Luminex®, DuoLink®). 

Janelle McAfee – Marketing Intern

Janelle McAfee is a junior at Washington University in St Louis majoring in Marketing and minoring in the Business of Social Impact. She loves to cook, hike, and most of all, learn. She is excited to help Mighty Cricket spread the word about the benefits of eating sustainable proteins!  

Brittany Foust – Marketing Intern

Brittany is an undergraduate student at Truman State University majoring in Communication and minoring in Environmental Studies. Brittany is involved in several sustainability-focused groups on-campus, and plans on continuing her sustainability work well after her graduation this fall.

Linhphi Buipham – Marketing Intern

Linhphi is a junior at Truman State University majoring in Marketing with a minor in Design. When she’s not studying for school, she’s an outdoor enthusiast. Linhphi is involved in several organizations such as Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Kappa Psi, and ECO club. She hopes to work with NPCA, the National Parks Conservation Association, after she graduates.
